All About Spices!

Friday 14th March was all about spices for the GCSE Food Technology students. Bini Ludlow (Indian cookery expert, Food Glorious Food semi-finalist and Taste of the West Gold Award winner) taught the Year 10 students about the important use of spices. Under Bini’s guidance the students went on to make a traditional Indian curry and learnt how to produce the perfect rice and raita, they also produced delicious hand-made chapattis. There were lots of comments from parents about the fantastic aromas that were coming from the Food Technology room and the pupils (and their parents – we hope!) thoroughly enjoyed the delicious food.
