Anaesthetist Visits Reception!

Mrs Harvey recently visited Reception 1 to talk about her job as an anaesthetist.

We were lucky to have such an exciting visit from Jess’ mother who talked about the importance of washing hands, both in her job and for us all to stay healthy. She brought in a screening tool which showed the parts of our hands which soap had missed – not surprisingly there were many areas on 4 year old hands!  When we had all successfully washed our hands thoroughly the children were thrilled to receive a certificate. We also had the opportunity to ask about our role-play hospital equipment and we are looking forward to using what we have learnt in our classroom ‘Children’s Ward’. Many thanks to Mrs Harvey for such an exciting experience!
