Author Visits Years 7, 8 and 9

Bristol-based author Tracy Alexander visited School yesterday to talk to Years 7-9 about her latest book and about careers in writing. In the past she has written books for primary children, but now writes teenage thrillers. Tracy's novel, Hacked, is set in Bristol and tells the story of Dan, who casually ventures into the world of hacking, but experiences sinister repercussions. Her next book, ‘Angel’, will be released in the summer.

Tracy successfully involved the pupils in exploring how to write a book; stimulating lots of questions and laughter. With just a flip chart and her book, she kept the boys and girls – and their teachers – enthralled, and inspired them about reading and writing.
