Clifton High School makes New Year's 'eco-resolutions'

The Junior Eco Club and Senior Eco Committee joined forces last Thursday to run a New Year’s eco-resolution event. Pupils from across the school were excited to welcome the ‘eco caravan’ into Clifton High School. They were welcomed into the caravan to make eco-resolutions and discuss these with expert, Dr Linda Thomas.

There were some very considerate resolutions, from avoiding diet drinks, which contain aspartame, and products that contain palm oil, the harvesting of which has led to the destruction of Indonesian rain forest, to encouraging their parents to use biodegradable cleaning products and adopting ‘meat free Monday’. Participants were rewarded with an organic hot chocolate offering warmth on a chilly January afternoon. Well done to our Eco Clubs for their superb organisation of this well-attended and enjoyable event.
