Congratulations to Former Pupil, Professor Tamsin Mather

Former Clifton High pupil Tamsin Mather, a Professor of Earth Sciences at Oxford University and a pioneer in research on volcanic processes, was last week awarded a very special accolade.

Professor Mather was invited to the Royal Society in London on Thursday 18th October, to present the Rosalind Franklin Lecture and collect her Award. This annual event and award is given to recognise and support the promotion of women in science, technology, engineering and mathematics.

Congratulations to Professor Mather on this coveted and much-deserved award. Her continuing success and discoveries inspire many young scientists and we would highly recommend our aspiring scientists to watch the evening’s lecture; https://www.youtube.com/watch?time_continue=913&v=4GS7MVOx1Vc
