Educational visits

20th May 2013

Year 7 starts with a residential bonding trip which encourages pupils to get to know one another whilst taking part in a range of oudoor activities. From that point onwards senior pupils take part in a wide range of educational visits which cover most subjects.

Visits to religious establishments help pupils to gain an understanding of other cultures whilst visits to France, Germany and Spain allow pupils to hone their modern foreign language skills.

Visits to museums and historical sites support learning in subjects such as Classics and History whilst visits to local universities and research centres help to place learning in the Sciences in a modern context.

There are opportunities to take part in sports tours and in the past our teams have visited Barbados, Australia, Canada and Malta. Ski trips have enjoyed destinations such as the USA, Austria and France.

It could be a walk up the road to Bristol Zoo or a trip to India, but an educational visit always serves to help bring a subject to life.
