A Committed Team

Clifton High School provides a very high quality of education for its pupils.

This is achieved by appointing highly qualified and well motivated teachers and nursery nurses who are adept at teaching and supporting within the Foundation Stage. They have considerable experience and a genuine passion for teaching young children,  ensuring that each child is well supported in their learning.

The curriculum is enhanced by the use of specialist teachers for some subjects.

Regular and frequent attendance at continued professional development training courses ensures that staff are well aware of educational initiatives and keep abreast of good practice. The Foundation Stage staff were highly commended in the most recent Ofsted and Independent Schools' Inspectorate reports and has been awarded the Bristol Standard, for excellent practice, for the last seven years.

The Foundation Stage was inspected by Ofsted in 2008 and was adjudged to be "Outstanding" in every area - an accolade achieved by only 2-3% of settings nationally.
