Religious Studies take place within the class topics each term and are supported by daily assemblies which are based on Christian principles, beliefs from other cultures and the P.S.H.C.E. curriculum. The Religious Studies' syllabus is based on the National Curriculum scheme of work and includes an introduction to the Old Testament, consideration of different beliefs and practices and New Testament stories about Jesus. Children are encouraged to respond sensitively to the experiences and feelings of others and to other people's values and concerns in relation to matters of right and wrong.
Children participate in the Harvest Festival and the Christmas Nativity performance and we are periodically visited by clergy from Christchurch and All Saints, Clifton. Years 1 and 2 visit local places of worship and perform at a local welfare centre based in Christ Church, Clifton.
