All our pupils are given the opportunity to discover and develop their sporting abilities in both individual and team sports. We want to ensure that all pupils discover an area of sport that they enjoy and the pleasure in living a healthy and active life. In Years 3-6, the children have access to all of our excellent on-site facilities, with a swimming pool, floodlit tennis and netball courts and a large lawn. The children also use our superb playing fields at Coombe Dingle Sports Centre with four indoor courts, two all-weather pitches and an array of grass pitches.

We also enjoy good links with the following clubs who use the facilities at Coomble Dingle as well. Many of the children at the school play for these clubs and benefit from this relationship. Rockleaze Rangers Football Club
St Brendans Rugby Club
Clifton Rugby Club
Old Bristolians
Stoke Bishop Cricket Club
At Key Stage 2 teachers ensure that activities are fun and the children are taught to understand about working as a unit, tactics and problem-solving in team games.
In gymnastics and dance the children learn to produce and perform sequences; they learn to observe, appreciate and analyse performance skills.
In our pool stroke technique is developed and there is the opportunity to gain ASA badges.
Our children play competitively against other schools in all our school sports and at the end of the formal school day there are numerous sports clubs. Children are also encouraged to join the many local clubs offering coaching.
