Life in the Lower School

20th May 2013

"Years from now you will be more disappointed by the things
 you didn't do
than by the ones you did do.
So throw off the bow-lines.
Sail away from the safe harbour.
Catch the trade winds in your sails.
Explore. Dream. Discover!"
                                                                               (Mark Twain)

From the moment that children enter our school there is an emphasis on learning being exciting and fun. Children experience a myriad of opportunities inside and outside the classroom and are fully involved in their own learning.

Our children are motivated, inquisitive, enthusiastic learners who embrace the opportunities life has to offer and show true consideration for others. They are confident but also courteous and cooperate with and support each other readily.

The well qualified and dedicated staff provide a balance between support and challenge that ensures each child develops a genuine love of learning and has a sense of self worth that enables them to take risks, question and experiment.

The school day passes swiftly as the children are absorbed in their activities and lunchtimes offer sporting and creative arts opportunities and time for socialising amidst spacious grounds. Many children choose to participate in a whole array of after-school activities that add to the thrill of learning and achieving.

At Clifton High School there is the opportunity to explore, dream and discover!

You will learn more about all the opportunities that Clifton High offers in the other pages on this site but there is no substitute for coming to see us and sampling the atmosphere for yourself.

Call Mrs Kate Bolton-Jones, Admissions Registrar on 0117 933 9087 or email admissions@cliftonhigh.bristol.sch.uk to arrange for a tour and to meet with the Head of Lower School. We will be delighted to see you.
