The CHS Parents' Association is a very active and enthusiastic body. Its goal is to make an effective contribution to the school community through the social events that it organises. Its mandate is to provide opportunities for parents to come together, to support the school in the education of its pupils, and to provide fundraising support for extras.
The PA organises a wide range of events during the school year, from the Barn Dance in March to Rosette Day in June to the Craft Fair in December. It also runs the Prep and Junior Discos, which take place twice in the year and are the place to be seen, if you are between the ages of four and eleven. The Rose Day Ball in July is a collaboration of the PA, the School and Sixth Form students, and is an event which parents from Foundation Stage to Sixth Form attend. The PA also provides support to school activities, by providing helpers with school events such as the Christmas Extravaganza and the Fashion Show.
The Annual General Meeting of the Parents' Association elects, from its members, individuals to stand on its management Committee for a term of three years. If you are interested in joining this Committee, or in providing a pair of willing hands to help at any of the events, please contact the secretary.
Support your school, meet new people with a common interest - come to the PA events.
