We are very proud of the achievements of our Alumni and are keen to portray to the general public the huge range and variety of roles now being carried out in society by ex pupils of Clifton High School.

Jane Shepherdson         Business Woman / Fashion Industry

Diana Porter                      Distinguished jewellery-maker and member of Who's Who in Gold and Silver. Runs an exquisite shop and workshop on Park Street where she makes and sells equally exquisite contemporary jewellery. Specially focused on ethically-sourced materials.

Charlotte Garaway  Designer of CHS rose.  Founder of the Bristol Hanover Council

Edith Matravers  One of the first women to attend Oxford University in early 1890's

Tessa Solesby  First woman to be appointed Resident Clerk at the Foreign Office

Mabel Tothill  Bristol's first woman councillor.   Also donated a house which became the home of the Bedminster Club for over 50 years

Susan Freestone  First female head teacher at one of the top schools in the UK.  Also first woman to be chair of the Society of Headmasters and Headmistresses of Independent Schools

Angela Tuckett  The first qualified female solicitor to work in Bristol

Esme Havelock Hadfield   Expert in Nasal Cancer and ENT

Mona Wilson   In 1911, she was elected member of the Insurance Commissioners.  At the time, she received the highest paid salary for a woman in State Employment.

Hannah Wolfe   Currently on ‘Birbeck' course, internationally Acclaimed course in theatre direction.  Also owns own theatre production company, ‘Captain Theatre'

Emily Davis   Professional International Show Jumper

Liz Humphries ('Lady Filkin')   Previously was a Parliamentary Commissioner for Standards
