The End of Season Rugby Awards Evening celebrated the sporting
achievements of both our Junior and Senior boys. The evening began with a
match between our Senior team and Bristol Free School, which Clifton
High School won. Supporters from the Junior, U12 and U14 teams, parents
and staff attended the game.
During the second half of the match the Junior pupils attended their
own awards ceremony, led by former Bristol RFC captain, England player
and Clifton High Rugby club coach, Mr Matt Salter. Every boy was awarded
for their achievements during the season.
This was followed by a sit down meal and an awards ceremony for the
Senior, U12 and U14 players. Speeches were given by each of the team
captains and also by a guest speaker - Mr Max Crumpton, Bristol Rugby
first team player and graduate of the Saracens Academy, who has gained international honours with England at U16, U18 and U20 level.
The evening was extremely inspiring for our boys. After
a successful and busy season, featuring a record amount of fixtures,
this celebration of their achievements was very much well deserved.
