Friday's Extra Curricular Clubs Day was a vibrant showcase of some of the many clubs on offer at Clifton High School. In the morning there were performances from our Ballet Club - run by Dawn Clark, a former pupil of Clifton High school who left at 11 to study ballet at the very prestigious Royal Ballet School White Lodge, and danced professionally with the Scottish Ballet Company for 13 years, our Fencing Club - run by Andy Martin, our Taekwondo Club - run by Neil Warburton of Bristol Martial Arts, the Chamber Choir and Figure 6 Rock Band. As can be seen from the photographs, Figure 6 really got the crowd going!
The Eco Club and Eco Commitee put on a number of activities in the afternoon including Bug B&Bs, a Wishing Tree and Bird of Prey displays. There was also an opportunity to meet the School's animals in the Marquee - a tortoise, field mice and stick insects. Mr Tom Walmsley CHS Lead Specialist on the Environment and Photography also delivered a fascinating talk.
