Millie, in Year 7, has added to the recent running successes of Clifton High pupils with some outstanding personal performances.
After five races, in which she was consistently placed within the top eight, she finished in an impressive 2nd place overall in the Gwent Cross Country League Under 13’s category.
She also outran a number of much older competitors at the English National Cross Country Championships in Leeds a few weeks ago, and was placed in the top 100 out of 400 runners.
Millie now looks forward to her last race of the season, which will be part of the English Schools Cross Country Championships held at Loughborough on 23rd March.
After that her track season will begin, where she will compete for North Somerset Athletics Club in the Youth Development League, a national junior athletics league.
Well done Millie, we wish the best of luck in your upcoming races and the new season.
