Scholars' Forum on Formula One Engineering

On Wednesday 21st June, Clifton High pupils from Year 6 to Year 12 enjoyed a unique and fascinating talk on Formula One. Mr James Lyons, an Engineer for Williams Advanced Engineering, spoke about a Formula One weekend from an engineer’s perspective.

Mr Lyons has supported first class racing drivers at over 100 race weekends worldwide and gave our pupils some superb insights into the incredible work that goes on behind the scenes.

Pupils in Clifton High’s Main Hall asked some probing and intelligent questions, both about Formula One and about the work of an engineer more widely, and were inspired by Mr Lyons’s experiences.
