Clifton High School is a special place with its own unique atmosphere; you can feel this as you walk around our beautiful school with its historic buildings and spacious grounds.
From Nursery School through to Sixth Form, Clifton High is full of laughter, positivity and activity. When visitors come to our School they frequently comment on what a busy place it is: children taking tennis lessons on the MUGA or playing rugby on the lawn, the sound of singing drifting from the music block, or the smell of fresh baking from the food room, children dashing to and from the swimming pool or taking part in drama rehearsals. Take a look inside the classrooms and the picture is the same: hands-on product making in the Design and Technology Suite, enthusiasm for experiments in the science laboratories or the happy sounds radiating from the Nursery School and Reception classes. You will see engaging lessons, one-to-one tuition, small group tutorials and specialist combined French and English curriculum teaching to name but a few.
Be it at the school site in Clifton or at our Coombe Dingle Sports Complex in Stoke Bishop, there is always plenty of activity here and our children and young people are encouraged to get involved.
Throughout the year the School calendar is action-packed. In the Autumn Term we hold our exciting Marquee Week and our poignant Carol Service in Clifton Cathedral. In the Summer Term we see the highlight of our school year, Rose Day, which encompasses our service of Thanksgiving, Commemoration and Prize-giving followed, in the evening, by the annual Rose Ball. Musical performances, drama productions, art exhibitions and sports fixtures also take place throughout the year as well as House fundraising days and competitions.
Our website can only give you a glimpse of life at Clifton High School. Come and visit us, we will enjoy showing you around.
