The Co-educational Sixth Form is a thriving centre of excellence within Clifton High School with the students playing an important part in the whole school community. They are given every opportunity to reach their full academic potential and are encouraged to become confident, articulate, thoughtful individuals prepared to play their part in shaping the twenty-first century. Our students realise that education is a lifelong process and almost all go on to study their chosen subject at university, with the most able being encouraged to apply for Oxbridge entrance.
Students may go directly to university after leaving the school but many now choose to take part in a gap year, which provides them with the opportunity to broaden their experience of the world before they take up their university places. The school Futures and Skills department provides advice and guidance to students at every stage of the UCAS applications process and experienced sixth form tutors are on hand to provide additional help as required.
The university subjects studied by our students cover a wide range from the academic to the more vocational and include artistic, linguistic and scientific disciplines.
