Sports Podium talk with professional basketball player Mr Daniel Edozie

Last Wednesday, Clifton High’s Sports Podium welcomed professional basketball player, Mr Daniel Edozie, to talk to Talented in Sport pupils about his inspiring life story.

Prior to playing NCAA Division I basketball for Iowa State Cyclones in America and playing for Bristol Flyers in the British Basketball League, Mr Edozie had to overcome adversity, living life on the streets as a homeless child.

Mr Edozie spoke passionately to pupils about his journey to becoming an elite athlete. With the help of his foster mother, he discovered basketball at the age of 12 and eventually earned an athletic scholarship with Iowa State University.

Pupils were interested to hear about the challenges Mr Edozie faced growing up and how his experiences have shaped the athlete he is today. The engaging presentation provided much inspiration for our talented county basketball players and young athletes alike.
