Clifton High School is a long-established, co-educational, independent school set in the beautiful and historic area of Clifton in Bristol. Our aim is to provide a first-class education to boys and girls within a supportive environment with a real focus on each and every child. We have a successful track record in educating international students and we are a sponsor for UK Visas and Immigration.
We welcome international students into Clifton High School but we are not an international school. We embrace the cultural and social diversity our international students bring but the majority of our students will always be from the local area. For those parents looking for a first-class English education which offers a true integration into British culture and education then Clifton High School is the school for you.

For international students whose parents will remain overseas, we offer a unique home boarding service where students live with a local family. This is only available to students aged 16 or over.

Our international pupils pay the same tutition fees as our non-international pupils. In some cases the School does request that international pupils take up additional EAL (English as an Additional Language) support to enable them to access the English curriculum fully.
Specialist teaching of the French Curriculum
We recognise that some families may not be in the UK permanently and their children need to be prepared to return to education in their own country. Embracing the close link that Bristol has with France we are one of the only schools in the area to offer a programme which allows French speaking pupils to follow both the French and English curriculum concurrently.
