The Clifton High Senior School is a vibrant, energetic place where there is always plenty to do. There are in excess of 300 boys and girls in the Senior School aged eleven to eighteen.
Sound learning is at the heart of our school’s ethos and Clifton High School is the only school in the South West operating the successful Diamond Edge Model of education. We chose to operate this model as we firmly believe that for certain subjects, at certain ages, boys and girls learn better in single sex groups and for others their learning is enhanced by being taught together.
There is a richness of opportunity at Clifton High School from the outstanding teaching to the expansive extra-curricular timetable. Sport, music, drama and the arts all play an important role in our school life and we encourage all our boys and girls to get involved. Participation in The Duke of Edinburgh’s Award and World Challenge provide our young people with opportunities to develop team building and leadership skills.
Our focus at Clifton High School is on providing an environment where boys and girls can grow and develop into happy and confident individuals, where talents are recognised and nurtured. We are well known for our outstanding pastoral care and the individual attention we give to each and every pupil. As a co-educational school we also believe our boys and girls benefit greatly from the social interaction they have with each other. In a world where men and women work closely together our aim is to produce free-thinking young people with belief in themselves, confidence to pursue their ambitions and the resilience to succeed whatever life presents.
