Co-educational Sixth Form in the heart of Clifton.
The Sixth Form at Clifton High School has a distinctive feel. It is a social, friendly group of between 50 and 80 students, each of whom receives unfaltering support and outstanding and inspiring teaching. Our students are offered a myriad of opportunities to develop their skills and talents beyond the classroom, in preparation for life beyond school.
Years 12 and 13 are a period of growth and transition, and students have to make some potentially life changing decisions about their future during this time. Clifton High School has a reputation for the outstanding levels of personal support and attention it gives its Sixth Form students. Dr Neill, Head of School; Mr Psarros, Head of Sixth Form; Mrs Giles, Head of Futures and Skills and personal tutors all provide advice and guidance on our students' future plans.
We expect excellent academic results from our students. In 2016 75% of students secured places at Russell Group universities, and the 2013/2014 Department of Education league tables named Clifton High as one of the top two independent schools in Bristol for academic progress between GCSE and A level.
However, we put as much emphasis on who our pupils become as what they achieve. We expect all our students to “get involved” and as a small Sixth Form there are plenty of opportunities for leadership and responsibility such as World Challenge and Duke of Edinburgh’s Award. We encourage all our students to develop their talents to the full, whether their strengths lie in sport, drama, music or elsewhere.
The opportunities are vast at Clifton High School; with a strong academic focus and unrivalled pastoral support, students leave Clifton High School with belief in themselves, confidence to pursue their ambitions and the resilience to succeed whatever life presents.
To see how our Sixth Form could benefit you, come and visit us at one of our exciting open events or arrange a taster day or tour. We look forward to meeting you.
Mr Manolis Psarros
