Thirteen Clifton High School pupils travelled to Nepal for a three-week expedition with World Challenge in July. The trip consisted of a six-day hike through the Anapurna Mountain range in the Himalayas, a week-long voluntary section in a school in rural Nepal and many adventures including white water rafting and exploration of UNESCO World Heritage sites.
The pupils excelled in every challenge and were wonderful ambassadors for the School. The charitable efforts of all thirteen pupils were a particular highlight with new toilet blocks and canteens constructed and classrooms transformed into environments conducive to learning. Through their fundraising before the expedition, the pupils also managed to donate thirteen cooling fans and new tables and chairs for the school.
