Year 10 Geography Visit to Devon

Year 10 Geography pupils enjoyed some wonderful weather and spectacular scenery on their residential field trip to Slapton in Devon this week. The three-day visit forms part of their GCSE course and is designed to strengthen research, fieldwork and analytical skills.

Pupils spent a day researching changes to the population and economic structures of Slapton village, followed by a day collecting coastal data to examine how localised coastal processes have impacted on the coastline. The final day was spent analysing data and using Geographical Information Systems (G.I.S) to display their results.
