Year 7 Biology Zoo Visit

On Tuesday 27th June, Year 7 pupils enjoyed a morning at Bristol Zoo Gardens as part of their biology topic on adaptations. Pupils participated in an education session, in which they had the opportunity to hold and interact with hissing cockroaches, meal worms, chinchillas, snakes, rats and terrapins.

Following the engaging session, pupils were then able to explore the zoo, looking at the 400 animal species and seeing their adaptations first hand.

Pupils particularly enjoyed the aquarium and seeing the lions up close! They also saw the Dinomania exhibition, which includes lifelike animatronic dinosaurs such as the Tyrannosaurus Rex, Dilophosaurus and Giganotosaurus. Clifton High School is fortunate to have this incredible resource so close to School and pupils thoroughly enjoyed their visit.
